Cloud-based Information Security Company.

Requirement:

The client, a prominent cloud-based information security company, needed to establish a Bing Map based on their precinct location data. They aimed to retrieve precinct locations from a SharePoint list and present them on a Bing Map. Additionally, they wanted users to be able to search for locations and view detailed custom information on a hover panel. The complexity of the process and the need for seamless execution posed significant challenges.

Solution Delivered:

TechWize meticulously analyzed the client’s business, technical, and operational challenges to define comprehensive requirements for a tailored solution. Two lists were involved: one containing parent location data and the other housing sub-locations and detailed information. Leveraging the SPFX React framework and SharePoint rest-based API, we retrieved the required information. The Bing Map was constructed using the User Bing Map key and location data obtained through SPFX. Our approach involved real-time information retrieval through React Framework and Rest API. Power Automate and Column Formatting API were utilized to manage user permissions. The completed application underwent rigorous testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), during which our technical team promptly addressed bugs reported by the client’s business users. Hotfixes were swiftly applied and transitioned to production.

Result Achieved:

Following application development, exhaustive testing, and successful deployment, the integrated solution was launched live for the client organization. The streamlined process not only saved time and effort but also ensured secure information exchange through automated procedures enriched with advanced functionalities. As a result, all files are now seamlessly pushed to Box without encountering any challenges.
