In this project our client wanted us to create Journeys of customers in Salesforce Marketing cloud and set up Automation Studio with multiple automation steps so that the data can be used as input to journey builder based on certain conditions and events. Our client also wished to bring in data from external sources having a different extension.
Our first step was the creation of multiple Journey’s using which the emails could be sent to the opted-in client. In this project, we used Salesforce Synchronized Data extensions which were scheduled to bring in the data from Salesforce to marketing cloud in every hour and store it in the marketing cloud. As the Salesforce Synchronized Data extensions cannot be used directly in the Journey builder, so in order to use this data in Journey builder we used Automation Studio where we implemented multiple automation steps in which we used SQL to bring in the data from these Data extensions then filtered them in multiple steps and then fed the processed data to the Journey Builder. As soon as the Journey builder got this data the Journey’s fired and the emails were sent over to the clients, based on the decision split and various other conditions.
