Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Consultant, where you will be working within a team of highly experienced and capable consultants to assist with end-to-end delivery of projects.  Your day to day role will be project based, working with our customers post sale to  workshop requirements gathering, design of solution with supporting documentation,  hands on implementation of ServiceNow including configuration, development  of integrations, testing and quality assurance,  and project conclusion activities such as training, documentation as built, handover and transition to customer, whilst assisting our project managers and team leaders on Risks/Issues/Actions/Changes and estimates.   

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 

  • Relevant tertiary degree, and/or recognised industry qualifications and experience 
  • 7+ Years of ServiceNow expertise 
  • Minimum of 10 years' commercial experience in a software discipline, with 5+ years’ experience on multiple Enterprise service management implementations on ServiceNow end to end deployment; 
  • Demonstrated ServiceNow experience and certifications (Certified System Administrator and at least Certified Implementation Specialist certifications) and commitment to training and maintaining certifications; 
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills in building and maintaining relationships, both within the organization, ServiceNow as the vendor and our customer base; 
  • High level of attention to detail with pride in the accuracy and presentation of information;  
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of business processes and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills with lateral thinking 
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct workshops, product demonstrations and stakeholder interviews with confidence acute attention to detail, engaging in feedback, listening well, capturing and document detailed requirements for both customers and development teams; 
  • Demonstrated ability to capture customer requirements, translate those into effective ServiceNow designs and form Build/Configuration activities including data/workflow modelling;  
  • Demonstrated ability and technical skills in web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript,React/AngularJS) to do Service Portal Work 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete implementation work including configuration of ServiceNow modules and Integrations (REST/JSON, Security and Web Services) 
  • Demonstrated experience in Testing techniques to validate build against customer requirements;  
  • Demonstrated experience in Transition to Operation of projects including training, documentation of as built and handover to customer;  
  • Demonstrated experience working within a team that is distributed geographically within Australia and offshore; and

Preferred/Highly Desirable Skills and Experience: 

  • Knowledge of service management frameworks (e.g. ITIL or SIAM) 
  • Experience on the ServiceNow platform outside of ITSM (such as CSM, HR, ITOM, Portal etc.) 
  • Experience working in a structured environment with an understanding of the principles of project management methodologies such as AGILE (Scrum) and Waterfall (Prince/PMBOK) and a good discipline and accounting for your time accurately 

 

Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities:  

  • Participating in client workshops, requirement gathering to provide solutions 
  • Preparing and assisting with functional and technical design workshops and providing input into estimates 
  • Implementing and delivering ServiceNow solution in adherence to technical best practice and standards through software/Platform configuration 
  • Contributing to client engagements both individually and as part of the team 
  • Ensuring deliverables to customers are complete, with attention to detail in a timely, consistent and high-quality manner 
  • Working with various clients across commercial to enterprise 
  • Achieving and maintaining ServiceNow certifications within the various product lines through completion of training assessments to grow your skills in a satisfactory manner to align to our Partner Program requirements 
  • Providing excellent customer support through exceptional interpersonal skills, verbal communication and written communication
