  • The client sought to create a dynamic Bing Map visualization system based on their precinct location data stored within SharePoint. This involved::Retrieving precinct locations from a SharePoint list and displaying them accurately on a Bing Map. Implementing a search functionality for users to easily locate specific precincts. Presenting detailed custom information about each precinct through a hover panel. The complexity of integrating SharePoint data with a dynamic map visualization platform presented significant technical challenges.

  • Data Retrieval:Leveraging the SPFX React framework and SharePoint REST API, we designed a robust mechanism to retrieve precinct location data from both parent and sub-location lists within SharePoint.
  • Bing Map Integration:Utilizing the User Bing Map key and the retrieved location data, we constructed a fully functional Bing Map visualization within the application.
  • Real-Time Data:The SPFX React framework and REST API facilitated real-time data retrieval and updates, ensuring the map remained dynamically synchronized with SharePoint data.
  • User Management:Power Automate and Column Formatting API were implemented to manage user permissions and access control within the application.
  • Rigorous Testing:The application underwent thorough testing, including UAT, where our team promptly addressed user-reported bugs and implemented hotfixes before deployment to the live environment.
